To avoid misunderstanding and ensure a more uniform dialogue,
Article 100 of the 2014 National Electrical Code (NEC, Code) provides a list of
terms used in two or more articles of the Code. Terms used only within one
article are located within that article, often appearing near the beginning of
the article.
