The definition of readily accessible now includes the use of tools. Article 100 of the 2014 National Electrical Code (NEC, Code) defines Accessible, Readily (Readily Accessible) as capable of being reached quickly without having to climb over or remove obstacles, resort to portable ladders, or use tools.
